PROJECT CORAZON is a small, model, HIV-prevention education, outreach program for Mexican immigrants workers here in the East Village, designed to bring deli workers, delivery men, the young women who wash and fold in the laundromat, etc. into HIV-testing services through their local workplaces. The project brings together volunteer media professionals, and popular, opinion leaders (POLs) enlisted from the Mexican immigrant community to produce and distribute a small-scale, but professional, social marketing campaign.”
