A friend of ours/the store wrote her thesis and made a short film on the Virgin of Guadalupe's presence and growing significance in the North America. She interviewed Richard about our Virgin beaded curtains and other items we sell (courier bags, day bags, art objects, etc.) that depict her image. She pointed out that with the growing number of south of the border Latinos in the USA, that there is an increase in the appeal of this image to other Catholics - even to those not mired in this specific tradition/iconography.
